Greenhouse Designs

Due to the large number of benefits associated with them, in terms of plant and environmental health as well as cost effectiveness, greenhouses are definitely worth the investment to install and maintain them. This applies to both amateur gardeners and seasoned gardeners. For the amateur, the joy that one feels when seeing his plants flourish is enough to make his investment profitable. For professional investors, the financial rewards associated with a greenhouse are abundant. However, since buying your own greenhouse can be costly due to the profits and commissions associated with the people involved in manufacturing, transporting, marketing and selling, it is important that you choose the design that matches the that best suits your needs, as well as one that is installable in your area.

Types of greenhouses

Greenhouses can be classified into two main categories: attached type and freestanding type.

Autonomous greenhouses

Greenhouses that fall into this category differ from the other type in that they are freestanding structures erected independently of your home. As a result, this type of greenhouse can be positioned to receive maximum exposure to the sun. However, since it is separate from the house, the greenhouse must be lit and must be supplied with electricity and water. This category can also be divided into two categories:

1. Juliana Greenhouse

Structures in this category are best suited for confined spaces. This design is also suitable for beginners. Since no silicone or clasps were used in its construction, it gives the impression of a fresh design.

2. Bunker Design

This design is spacious. It can also serve as an escape from daily routine where you can relax on your own. Since this design uses transparent poly-carbonate. This material comes with a UV coating. Ultraviolet rays from the sun's rays are particularly harmful to humans as they can cause sunburn and skin cancer. These rays are also not good for the plants. Because this type of greenhouse is designed to filter out carcinogenic ultraviolet light, the soft, diffused light produced is good for your health as well as your plants. This way you can also enjoy the sun without worrying about sunburn and skin cancer. The absence of harmful UV rays also means you don't need to periodically apply sunscreen to protect yourself.

Adjoining greenhouse

Attached greenhouses are not freestanding structures, but depend on your home for their structural support and integrity. Examples of this type include the peer type and the window type. The old design can be classed as a full size model, except one side of it is attached to the house for support. Provides more room for plants than a window mounted design. On the other hand, the window mounted design is installed in the window. This type is very economical and requires the least amount of space.

Although prices vary depending on the design you choose, it is important that you choose the one that best suits your needs. Even a bad design has a cost and if you are not happy with it, it will be a waste of time and money.
